Who we are

Claremont Build & Co LTD ("we", "us") is a building company based in Essex, England. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at Info@claremontbuild.co.uk or on 01371 532773.

The information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us:

• Enquiry form details - when you send an enquiry through our contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the service you are interested in and your message.
• Direct contact - if you email or call us, we hold the details you share with us in our mailbox and records.

We do not collect any special-category (sensitive) data and we do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

How we use your information

We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, provide quotations, and carry out or arrange building work you ask us to do. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where work proceeds, the performance of a contract with you.

We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for marketing. Enquiry emails are delivered to our mailbox by our website hosting and email delivery providers, who process the data only to deliver the message.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, where work is carried out, for as long as we are required to keep business records (typically six years). Enquiries that do not proceed are deleted within a reasonable period.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website is deliberately light on cookies:

• Essential storage - when you make a choice on our cookie banner, that choice is saved in your browser (local storage) so we don't ask you again. This is required for the banner to work and stores no personal information.
• Analytics - only if you choose "Accept all" or switch analytics on under "Customise" may we use anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used. No analytics run if you opt out. We do not currently run any analytics scripts, and if that changes they will still only load with your consent.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, after which the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
